The weather seems to be stabilized in its summer mood. So, we hurry up to take out summer clothes and accessories. Closets are in the cleaning forehead one more time and this seasonal clothing change is a great chance to declutter, clean up and reorganize our closets.
I know… sometimes it feels so vain, when you know that, despite your efforts and your organizing skills, you must declutter and re-organize your closet every now and then in order to keep it tidy and shiny. But, this is the first key for a successful declutter: good mood and declutter often. It’ s essential to start big re-organizing projects, only when you feel determined to make it as good as you can. So, postpone if you are feeling bored, or disappointed, or just bad-tempered.
The other important thing is the space; how to make the best use of your closet. Invest to clever organizers. This is an easy and cheap way to “re-build” your closet arrangement. Just think what is the most difficult to stay organized there: your clothes, underwear, shoes, bags, scarves, etc. And, then make a market research of the organizing products available. Of course, relevant books, articles, blogs, images, all that stuff you can see on the web, are very useful and inspirational in order to discover and choose the way you want your closet to look like.
Lucky are those who have so big houses and closets that they don’t have to replace their clothing every season. But, for the most of us this is a fact that happens at least twice the year. So, it’s important to have a convenient place in your house to keep your off-season clothing; not to difficult to have them back; not to obvious in sight to “hunt” you all over the year. There are many kinds of storing boxes to help you store your off-season clothing. Find the right dimensions and appearance of the boxes to fit well in your space and store your clothes in categories for a tidy result.
And the final tips… It’s not always the best choice to make dramatic changes in your closet. Sometimes, it’s better to make small steps of improvement, which keep your closet tidy and give you clues about your ideal arrangement. And, always be decisive when something doesn’t fit, or the last time you wear was before many, many years, or is melted down by the use; get rid of it, give it away, or just store it to your “sentimental box”… Soon, you’ll replace it with something more useful… It’s so true that these things never really end!!!
