Materials

This project costs hardly anything and in one hour you will have a storage box for hair tools to fit exactly in our bathroom cupboard. Instead of a cardboard box, we can use a magazine file holder if it fits well in our cupboard.

• an oblong cardboard box
• pen
• ruler
• scissors or paper trimmer
• adhesive tape or glue
• fabric or decorative sticker roll

Steps

1. Measure the shelf of your bathroom cupboard (length-width-height), to make your cardboard box the desired size.
2. Draw out the general shape. It will look like a ladder with three steps. Then, cut both sides in this shape.
3. Cut the leftover cardboard pieces into rectangles to make the compartments.
4. Put them inside the box to become dividers and stabilize them with tape or a strong glue for all-purpose.
5. Cover the box with a decorative sticker or fabric.
6. Put it in your cupboard and organize easily your hair equipment: hairbrushes and combs, hairdryer, hair straightening, curls irons, hair sprays, etc.

Tips

• For more stability, choose a box with stiff cardboard. I have had mine for more than a year and it’s like new!
• Use materials that you already have: boxes from packages of old devices, fabric from old clothes, and homemade flour glue to cover the box with fabric!
