Photo Diary 100/365 • Photography, Our Soul and The Best Of Us

Follow me on Facebook • Google+ • Bloglovin’ It’s one of my childhood memory; our mother to dress us with our best clothes and make our hair pretty in order to go to the photography store and take a good family photo. It was the time that our camera Zenit couldn’t replace the abilities of a professional camera in the hands of a professional photographer. Despite the digital revolution, I believe neither now can do it. But this practice to get ready for a good photo, our childish eyes couldn’t understand. Why lose time from our game in order to be photographed like ‘nerds’? That … Continue reading Photo Diary 100/365 • Photography, Our Soul and The Best Of Us

Photography Contest : People Resting • March 2015

Follow me on Facebook • Google+ • Bloglovin’ It is a bit awkward the week to start with people resting. Monday is the first day of the week and we all usually run to catch up work, obligations and tasks. I must admit that one of my bad habits is always to leave anything stressful for Tuesday if I can, because I guess that there will be a stressful “Monday” madness gathered everywhere and in everyone. Of course, this guessing it’s not always right and thanks God I sometimes overpass the unreasonable assumption and get things done from Monday! © ioanna papanikolaou Back in the theme of … Continue reading Photography Contest : People Resting • March 2015

Photo & Notes. Choosing Black And White Photography

Follow me on Facebook • Google+ • Bloglovin’ Photographer Paul Outerbridge, well-known for his early use and experiment in color photography, had mentioned the difference between monochromatic and color photography; black and white imply a suggestion, but the color makes a statement. Others, like photographer Robert Frank, had seen in black and white photography symbols like hope and despair, a reflection of real life. In the search of what makes a black and white photo stunning and how to achieve it, these questions are hard to be answered. Autumn Bridge in BW by Papanikolaou Joanna on 500px I feel that some photos are meant to be black and … Continue reading Photo & Notes. Choosing Black And White Photography
