The sea in Toroni has this blue – turquoise color and these crystal waters that can please anyone. It is not a coincidence that its 2.5 km long curved beach is awarded the Blue Flag many times and for 2013. The Blue Flag is a voluntary eco-label awarded to more than 3850 beaches and marinas in 48 countries all over the world.
Toroni is located on the southwest edge of the Sithonia peninsula in Chalkidiki. You will find it 140 km away from Thessaloniki and 20 km from Neos Marmaras village.
Besides the many affordable choices one can have in accommodation and summer activities, Toroni as an ancient city (8 B.C.) has monuments and places of historic and archaeological interest. The castle of Lekythos and the old Christian church of Saint Athanasios (5th century) is the most important of them.
