Glass tile mirror frame

In this post, I share with you an easy DIY glass tile mirror frame that gives new life to a simple cheap mirror and creates a fantastic wall decor statement piece. It all started with a photo on Pinterest that I found when I was searching for examples of sunburst mirrors. Then, I remembered two glass mosaic tiles we had bought in order to decorate our fireplace, but later we changed our minds and didn’t use them. It was the kind of purchase that you return to your home only to discover your mistake and say: “OK! It’s very beautiful but still useless”…

Two years have passed in order to find these tiles their purpose and change a simple 15€ mirror to a stunning piece for my home office. The tiles were also bought with a discount that didn’t cost us more than 10€. As for the glue, you can use a specific glue for tiles, or use your precious hot glue with your silicone gun.

Glass tile mirror frame materials

  • a wooden framed mirror
  • one or two glass mosaic tiles
  • hot glue
  • scissors

Glass tile mirror frame steps

  • Measure the width of the frame and decide how you will cut mosaic tiles.
  • Cut the tiles to the desired width.
  • Put the glue on the backside of the tiles and then apply them to the frame.
  • Wait in order to glue well and then hang your brand new mirror in your favorite spot!

So easily and affordably a brand new decorative frame for your old mirror!
