Inspiration • Decorating With Driftwoods

Hello, everyone! We are on the final countdown for the summer and one of my favorite things about it is to discover small treasures in the beach. Pebbles, sea shells, sea glasses, sea urchins, and driftwoods… all are welcomed. The truth is that I get bored quickly if I had to stay on my sunbed for more than few minutes. So, I usually go for long walks searching sea shells or taking photos!

During our last summer vacations in the amazing island of Thassos (here, in Northern Greece), we had found many small driftwoods, beautifully weathered and with fabulous faded colors. I’m still searching for DIY driftwood ideas in order to decide what to do with my small collection…

• mobile
• sculpture with a nautical theme
• candle holder
• frame
• sailing boats
• wreath
• chandelier or shelves for the biggest pieces

There are many options to choose and it’s also difficult to combine the right shape with the right project. Here are some fantastic driftwood creations that I’ve gathered in this Polyvore set. Aren’t they fabulous and so inspiring?!
