Florina is a small town in Northern Greece. Its center is characterized by old neoclassical – Art deco buildings strung out along Sakuleva river. Some are preserved in good condition, other give their struggle with time and decay. Yet, a walk along both riverbanks is like a historic dive in the beginning of the previous century. Chronological labels in the buildings from ’20 and ’30, discolored sign posts of old telephone numbers with only three digits, big wooden doors, art-deco elements, traditional colorful houses… All add to the contemporary side of the town a charming flair by a hard, but still romantic, period of its past.
